Bergamo Academy opened in 2008, and is currently accepting applications for the 2009-2010 school year, which began Wednesday, August 19, 2009.

Featuring an authentic adherence to the vision of Maria Montessori as the core curriculum, Bergamo Academy is the only school in Denver -- and only one of two in Colorado -- that is Recognized by Association Montessori Internationale (AMI), which was founded by Maria Montessori in 1929. Bergamo Academy has the only AMI Toddler program in Colorado.

Classes
Bergamo Academy is currently accepting applications for 2009-2010 late enrollment for both its Primary Environment (ages two-and-a-half to six year olds) and its Toddler Environment (Must be walking, starting at 14 months until 36 months), for half-day (8:30 - noon) and full day (8:30 - 2:50), with after school and before school care available (7:30am to 5:15pm). Children between three-and-a-half and six should have previous Montessori experience, and will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis.

AMI AMI Recognition
On August 31, 2009, Bergamo Academy received the highest level of accreditation from Association Montessori Internationale, founded by Dr. Maria Montessori in 1929. See press release.
DPP Denver Preschool Program
Four-year-olds (who would normally attend "Pre-Kindergarten" in a conventional school) can qualify for tuition assistance from the Denver Preschool Program.
