Substitute assistant/floater

January 24, 2012 Bergamo Academy is seeking subs to transition to permanent employees. We have some permanent positions opening up in the next few weeks.

Candidate will have:

• experience working with children
• an interest in learning about each child and how best to help them with their individual needs
• the ability to be a team play and take direction from the Montessori Guides as well as all managing staff
• their qualification as "Early Childhood Educator" according to one of the qualifying options spelled out by the Colorado Department of Human Services (formerly known as "group leader qualified"), or be willing to get this quickly.

Seeking individuals who are team players, creative, empathetic, and enjoy working with children ages 12 months to 12 years old. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds, willing to do light housekeeping, and able to work well with instruction and direction in the Montessori philosophy. Kind and compassionate individuals are needed to assist our guides in the work of Dr. Maria Montessori.

Salary D.O.E. College degree preferred but not required.

We often hire permanent staff from our pool of subbing staff, so there is a possibility for additional hours in the future.
