Parent education on the Montessori philosophy, freely available to all in the community, is a cornerstone of the mission at Bergamo Academy. Obviously, it's a way to attract propespective parents, as well as spreading the message by word of mouth. But more importantly, it's a way for Bergamo Academy to teach the parents of its enrolled students about Montessori and how to have a Montessori home. In this way, work done by the children at Bergamo Academy is complemented by work done at home. Parents who may not be in a position to send their children to Bergamo Academy at this time are encouraged to attend so that they may have a home environment in keeping with the Montessori pholosophy. Topic: "Benefits of Montessori" Because we have not yet had fire safety inspection at 1000 Speer, the parent education talk will once again be at Wash Perk, 853 E. Ohio Ave. at the intersection with Emerson St. (map) Wash Perk will be closed but we will provide hors' dourves. Space is limited at Wash Perk, so please RSVP to info@bergamoacademy.com or 303-825-1333 to reserve a space. Drop-ins without RSVP will be first come first serve. Nursing babies are of course welcome, but babysitting is otherwise not provided and there is no separate room at Wash Perk available for children if they get noisy (except the sidewalk patio outdoors).
