Toddler Environment (ages 14-36 months)

NEWS August 15, 2008: Two slots in the first Toddler Environment have recently opened up. Half-day, full-day, and after-school care are all available in the first Toddler Environment.

There is also a possibility we will be opening a second Toddler Environment in the October to December timeframe (but probably half-day only).

Primary Environment (ages two-and-a-half to six years)

The Primary Environment has total space for 24 children, and room is still available.

Waiting List Procedure

Bergamo Academy maintains a list of children to be admitted in order, which we refer to as the "waiting list", even though sometimes there is no wait when there are plenty of open spots available, such as currently when the school is first starting up. After the child has been accepted -- i.e. after a completed application is received with the $75 application fee, and after an interview if one is deemed necessary -- the child is placed on the waiting list.

Every time a slot becomes available -- either in an existing environment due to a child leaving or now when the school is first opening -- we will go down the list from the top and contact each parent to see if the child is ready. If the child is ready (e.g. by being at least 14 months old and walking), then the parent has two weeks to send in the tuition deposit and first month's tuition. If the child is not ready, then the parent has two choices: either pay the tuition deposit and start paying monthly tuition payments to guarantee the spot is open when the child is ready, or pass until the next time a spot is open and hope that happens not too long after the child is ready.
